Cheapest way to heat my home.?
I have recently bought a new house that is 1200 square foot and we have gas heat. I am really worried about the gas bill this winter. I have been told that if i get oil space heaters for the bed rooms and living room that it will not affect our electric bill that much. Our water heater is electric. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thank you
HVAC Tech.: If you really want to save money Change out that money guzzling hot water heater for an efficient gas water heater. Check your insulation and make sure it is at Maximum levels. Keep your thermostat set as low as you can be comfortable with, just not so low that you or your family get sick, that cost way more than the gas to keep warm and well. remember, space heaters are dangerous! More people burn down their homes with them than any other way.Good luck!
