home depot heaters electric
whirlpool or GE electric water heater?
I am getting ready to purchase a new electric 40 gallon water heater and dont know which one to choose. Home Depot carries GE and Lowes carries Whirlpool. These are the only two home improvement stores in my area so which one is better?
What you should look at is the Energy Star ratings first. The one with the highest savings per year is the one that will pay back the most money to you. GE & Whirlpool are both great companies, but I might think that GE has the most energy efficient water heaters. Only because they have really upped their standards for efficiency.
Whirlpool is focused more on reliability, year after year.
