Towel rail in airing cupboard with timer?

I have removed the immersion heater from my airing cupbard and would like to replace it with a towel rail and a timer so I can still use it as an airing cupboard. The airing cupboard is in the bathroom but has doors on it.
If I bought a Dimplex TR like this

Use a tubular heater and put in shelves, to increase capacity.
Something like a redring suntube would be suitable
As loading is so low, any old timer will do.
cheaper to use a plug-in timer, and have heater on a plug-and-flex
