Help with my Storage Heaters?
I recently moved into a flat and am struggling how to work the heaters.
I have ‘Dimplex’ storage heaters in all rooms but i mainly just want it on in my living room. The only problem is, the only timer which is available is on the one in the kitchen. Do both have to be on to get heat in the living room?
And how do the timers work? Its just got a dial with 1-24 and an arrow pointing to another arrow. Confused :-S
Anyone who has one or knows about them please help… It is freezing here!!!!

The storage heater in the living room/ bedroom etc must have an input and output button/dial somewhere, maybe on the top of the heater. Before you go to bed the input should be stored on however much heat you want to store (in this weather the highest /max level) and output should be stored on zero. Then in the daytime you can adjust the output to however much or less heat you want. It is important to click the power switch on if you want the heater to store, this is usually situated at the side of each heater (sometimes with a fuse box beside it) switching this switch off is the only way you can stop the heater from storing. If you do not store the heater the night before there is no heat for the next day. As for the one in the kitchen, I’m thinking this is about heating your hot water and needs to be set to the 24 hour clock, a summer time and winter time indicator could be the other arrow you mentioned but you do not stipulate if there are any letters/words on the dial. Brrrrr I am cold even though my storage heaters are set so I hope you get yours set soon
