dimplex night Storage Heaters
my dimplex storage heater has a boost control & input control how do i set them for heat 1500-2300?
i can never get a decent heat at above times. i understand its hot during off peak hrs (through the night) and continues hot till approx 12midday then it just gives out a very low heat from midday until midnight. both controls have a setting from 1-5.. any ideas?
Since it is quite cold just now, set the input control quite high, 4ish, leave the boost control at the lowest setting or OFF. This will keep most of the stored heat in the core. When you want extra heat in pm/evening open the boost control to 3-4 , this simply opens a flap, partially controlled by a bi-metal strip which lets more heat escape. Shut the boost control before retiring so the the max heat is stored for next day.
