Some questions about storage heathers,if you have information can you help?
I am not at home since two days ago because i was spend Christmas out,now I got home and have home ice.
My Heater is a Dimplex storage heater ,like the one of the photo:http://www.flickr.com/photos/55967246@N02/5292155429/
has a panel that opens in front,with the boost control set on number 1 and the imput control set on number 5,and the heater is already on in the wall socket.
First question:Why i have to wait 7 hours for the heather start heating ,probably he will only start heating at 5am of tomorrow,until there i was already frozen.
Second Question:How i start the heather now ,without have to wait until 5am of tomorrow?
I cant let the heather always on because i dont earn my money to pay the electricity.

Your heater is wired to Economy 7 Tariff which gives you less than half price power for 7 hours a day. This is usually overnight and in the winter is between 12 midnight and 7am. The heater by use if fire bricks inside that are heated up in that time then releases the stored heat from the bricks over the day time. However in extreme temperatures the amount stored is insufficient for the whole day so you need to switch it on with an on unit switch to boost it later in the day.
